This festival is held every year to honor the life of Qu Yuan, a patriotic Chinese poet from central China. He lived from 340 BC - 278 BC. #2.) Image of Great Wall climbers taken December 2005. The construction of the wall started during the Ming Dynasty, under the rule of the first Emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang. The Great Wall of China was completed during the 16th century. #3.)
